Chef's Pantry was born of the desire to create a chef-tested collection of fine food products and accessories for the home chef. Our method for selecting the items we sell is simple - only the best will do. The main "ingredient" in our pantry is passion - a never-ending desire to seek out the best specialty foods available. We share and support the home chef's enthusiasm for creating fine foods. Our "Chef" is Donna Leahy, nationally acclaimed chef, formerly of the Inn at Twin Linden and author of several cookbooks, including Recipe for a Country Inn (Harper Collins 2003). Chef Leahy is reknowned for making restaurant quality food easily accessible to the home chef through her straight-forward recipes and approachable style. After 15 successful years at the Inn, Chef Leahy relocated to Washington State in 2005. Back in the home kitchen, she began to realize how difficult it was to acquire top quality ingredients and food products. Additionally, home chefs may not have the time to sift through the many options available. Chef Leahy set out to make the finest specialty foods readily available for the home chef, first in our Whidbey Island retail store and now through our website. Her passion for cooking and her dedication to wholesome yet delicious foods have brought together a variety of products that will meet your highest expectations.
